This experimental documentary illuminates the unusual and powerful bond between falconer Jenn Salo and her Red Tailed Hawk, Sitka, in the wintry woods of Thunder Bay, Canada.
Using footage from one afternoon of hunting and passages from J.A Baker’s The Peregrine, the film blurs the borders between documentary, experimental, and dramatization. We bear witness to a mutually beneficial relationship, one between falconer and falcon, one between woman and nature, and how two partners can become one.
